Reducing pollution requires less cars

More of us need to jump on the bus to make the B-C government’s green plans become a reality. A TransLink report finds that cars account for 35 per cent of all greenhouse gas emissions in the Lower Mainland. It says reducing emissions by the government’s planned 33 per cent requires making cars more efficient and at least doubling transit capacity. TransLink says the cost of doubling transit capacity would cost billions of dollars.
