Canada Line project engineers will be offering free guided tours of the Canada Line construction this summer.
Free “Dig the Dig” tours run every Monday from July 23 to August 27, 2007 and are geared for families with children aged 4 to 10.
“The mayor and city councillors will be there to welcome kids and parents on the tours to the site,” said Alan Dever, Canada Line communications director. “The tours will show the amazing excavation sites, and we provide the kids with hats and cameras so they can take pictures.”
The tour starts at downtown at Pender and Granville, and ends with lunch at the Cambie village.
Dever said “This is a one-time chance for kids to get up close to something that is rapidly being covered up. It may even get them interested in engineering and construction.”
Reservations are required. Email info@canadaline.ca or phone 604 484-6700 to secure your seat.
