iPod stolen in Vancouver
If you’ve just bought a new music listening device in Vancouver, you might want to keep it close. So many iPods have been stolen over the past few weeks, police have issued a warning for owners to be more careful.
Constable Howard Chow says at least three of the most recent robberies were violent, “At least two to three files a week are coming across [our] desk where somebody’s been robbed of their MP3 players. Most of them are confrontation-style robberies where they’re coming up and demanding that you hand it over and they take off with the new property.”
Chow says a key suspect – believed to be a white man between 18 and 25 years old – has been riding his bike up to victims, striking them on the back of the head with a blunt object and taking off with the iPod.
